A Shoebox Christmas
The Shoe Box Project generously donated 50 shoe boxes filled with gifts for the residents of Highway House. Residents received a beautifully wrapped shoe box filled with a range of useful treats. For many this was the only gift they received for Christmas.
Tottenham Hotspurs, kindly offer bespoke employability programme
Our local team the 'Spurs' kindly put together a bespoke training and employability programme, exclusively for our residents.
The Great Grass programme delivered IT and employability skills to 11 men over 3 weeks. A tour of the football stadium in White Hart Lane, Tottenham and a visit to the Eden Project in Cornwall was also included. All those who took part enjoyed the programme immensely and had various tales to tell of the activities that they participated in. Participants were given lunch and awarded with a certificate on completion.
A Makeover for Highway House Residents
LG Gordon Photography and members of the Tabernacle Church hosted a special night of entertainment and pampering for Highway House residents.
Residents choose a new outfit and were then treated to a new haircut and shave. A photo shoot captured the transformation for each person. Nurses were also in attendance giving general health checks to residents.
